Who created this course?

My name is Zachary Junier, & I've been operating my lawn care business out of Texas for the past 5 years. I started just like anyone else: by myself and nervous as heck for my first few jobs but stuck it out! I kept learning & growing as I slowly scaled up to bigger yards, bigger equipment, & even began carrying a few workers alongside myself as demand kept increasing over the next seasons. Again just like most people, I began going through my own heavy growing pains & stress was increasing before I had my tipping point and realized I needed to change something. I scaled down, released my workers & the biggest/hardest yards I had, realized the only types of yard I could comfortably maintain (small. cookie-cutter residential homes w/ minimal landscaping) and found MY personal sweet-spot to be 40-50~ of those specific customers- which would consistently bring in $5,000-$7,000~/month from the bread & butter weekly and biweekly mows + the regular upsells (fertilizer, shrubs, mulch etc., one-time cleanups, and the mini landscaping/tree trimming jobs you do & learn as you continue gaining more experience & getting asked to do more services!

I ran this business on the side to my part-time serving job right until I was about to graduate UTSA with my 4-year degree in Communication. About to end college, I was faced with 2 options: either apply for 9-5 HR/PR/sales/misc. "rat-race" job and get those cushy benefits that's everyones telling me I need... or double-down on my side-hustle mowing yards & see what I'm really capable of when my focus is no longer being split into 1/3's (school, restaurant/mowing.) Either way- I DIDN'T want to be at that restaurant anymore & none of the corporate jobs seemed appealing... so I just chose the mowing as I didn't have anything else. I then had 1 interview at a staffing agency for $30k/year 30 mins away from my house... I didn't even get the job but sitting in that cubicle/office setup was all that I needed to know to see that I could not live/function in that type of environment anyways, so to see the side of the grass made me realize & appreciate what I had in front of me! I graduated UTSA in 2017... and now we're here & we've been mowing ever since 🌱✌🏼

When I was a server, it would take me 5~ hours to make $60, and that would be after customers shook empty ice cups at me, left noodles on the floor that I had to clean up, and after I mopped the bathrooms & cleaned the whole restaurant each & every shift. After landing my first lawn care job via Craigslist & making $65 in a little over one hour just for mowing an overgrown yard 5 mins away from mine, the lightbulb moment in my head went off immediately as I quickly realized how much FASTER I made the money, how fun it was to finally be on my OWN + being outside to make my money & not having someone looking over my shoulder, and by just seeing how simple the process the entire process was from landing the call, quoting the house, and knocking it out to get paid cash before I even left the job (I didn't even have to wait for this paycheck like at the restaurant 😅)  A wise man once said: K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super Simple), and those are now words to live by- inside business and out! So that's why I stick mainly to simple, recurring, & predictable mowing maintenance as my main income source. All my upsells are just a cherry on top to the bread & butter weekly/biweekly income maintenance. Most of my yards now (May 2022) are $50-$60 per visit done 2x per month, so you can do the math on how many customers YOU need to achieve your level of financial freedom in order to pay your bills, save on the side, put a roof over your head, and food in your fridge. It only took me 20~ customers to change my life & give me the freedom to quit my job- and go ALL-IN for this business!
